Volunteers

For years, we have been organising a fantastic programme of activities especially for our campsite guests during the May, summer and autumn holidays. These include adventurous Royal Adventure days, Impact meetings, gatherings for young and old, and a wide range of workshops and fun activities.

To make all this possible, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team every year.

Our mission at De Betteld is to bring people together and create encounters. Would you like to contribute to this special mission? Take a look below to see where we could use some extra help and please contact us if you would like to help or have any questions.

The Projector

The Projector

Without you, no services

We are looking for someone to operate the projector during our services. As in many churches, we use images, videos and presentations to make our meetings more powerful. Without someone at the controls, this is not possible.

Do you have experience with the projector, for example in your church? Great! You don't have to be a techie, as long as you are handy with computers (preferably Apple) and enjoy working with the band and technicians. You are welcome to join us if you are 15 years or older.

You will be provided with a place to sleep and meals if you need them, and you will be part of a friendly team where you can learn a lot.

A helping hand

A helping hand

Any form of assistance is welcome.

Even outside the holidays, there is plenty to do at our park. As a volunteer with the facilities department, you will help to keep the grounds tidy and running smoothly. For example, you will work in the gardens, keep the square and playground clean, help with pruning in winter, set up and take down tents, mow the grass or lock up buildings.

You can also do technical jobs involving electricity, gas, water and vehicles, and help prepare and clean rooms. No two days are the same, because there is always something to do.

Any help is welcome, even if you can only help out occasionally or for a single day!

Wood burning

Wood burning

Who doesn't know it?

Wood burning, who doesn't know it? For years, our campsite guests have been able to enjoy this cosy tradition at our park. We think it's important to continue this, and that's why we're looking for people who want to help with the wood burning.

During the holidays, the Ark burns wood three times a week, each time for a different age group. We can use help for all groups, but extra support is especially welcome with the children.

Would you like to help out sometime? Or would you like to know more about what it entails first? Fill in the form and we will contact you.

Night watch

Night watch

This summer, we are looking for supervisors who are willing to keep an eye on our holiday park at night. Normally, we work together with the Guardian Angels for this, but this year that is not possible. That is why we are once again calling on committed volunteers who are willing to help out a few nights a week.

You start around 11 p.m. and do your rounds until it is quiet on the premises, usually somewhere between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. You are not on your own: a coordinator is present throughout the summer to manage the team and provide support where necessary.

Are you available between 8 July and 31 August and does this sound like something you'd be interested in? Let us know via the form!

With children and adults

During the holidays, we are looking for enthusiastic team players who want to supervise activities for children, teenagers and adults. You are active, assertive and enjoy playing and organising games.

You are 17 years or older, available for approximately 6 hours a day and will be part of a friendly team. We provide food, a place to sleep (if you need it) and, above all, lots of fun.

Does this sound like something for you? Sign up using the form!
